When the second wave of the pandemic hit, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust turned to virtual wards to help facilitate earlier discharge for COVID-19 patients in a bid to ease capacity concerns.

Now, almost 18 months and an NHSX case study later, our interactive panel brought together the NHS team in charge of the rollout, to share their successes, challenges, and all the things they wish they knew.

Featuring real experiences and insights from an NHS frontline team as well as an open Q&A for attendees, over 75 people attended the event as the rollout continues.

Missed out? We recorded the session, so you can watch the recording now.

Our panellists:

Dr. Irene Valero-Sánchez: Clinical Lead for the Integrated Respiratory Service, University Hospital of Leicester NHS Trust

Dr. Noel O’Kelly: Clinical Director, Spirit Health

Professor Sudip Ghosh: Consultant Physician & Deputy Medical Director, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust
