Spirit Health have joined forces with non-profit “do-tank” Fuzzy Studio to host an open rapid innovation project delving into how improvements could be made to cancer care pathways, with a particular focus on lower GI cancer.
In line with our mission to make health easy and accessible for all, we’re aiming to bring together a few expert, passionate minds to generate new ideas on solving problems and improving patient outcomes in the lower GI cancer pathway, using human-centred design thinking.
The group will be getting together using digital tools such as Microsoft Teams to produce ideas around:
- How to address capacity issues
- What new/emerging tools and technologies could be used in the pathway
- How to tackle health inequalities for people with cancer
- How to tackle unmet needs of both patients and healthcare providers
As this is an open innovation project, we’re putting out a call for healthcare professionals knowledgeable in the lower GI cancer field to come and contribute. This would involve a few hours over March and early April giving your views on how the care pathway could be improved.
All contributors and, if appropriate, their organisations will be credited in a thought leadership whitepaper which will be widely distributed among healthcare publications, in order for the ideas to stoke further conversation in the wider health community.
