Spirit Health are double winners and quadruple finalists in Medilink Midlands Business Awards 2022

We are thrilled to announce that we are double winners at the Medilink Midlands Business Awards! We won ‘Advances in Digital Healthcare’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement’ for our work to support patients and healthcare teams throughout the pandemic. In a time of unprecedented clinician stress, our aim was simple; to help them to best help their patients.

Our digital health platform, CliniTouch Vie, was also a finalist for Delivering Innovation into Health and Care and our diabetes-focused online pharmacy was a finalist for the Start-Up Award!

The digital health entries were focused on our rapid response to COVID-19, helping the NHS to continue to deliver brilliant patient care throughout the pandemic and looking at future opportunities to scale our work to enable more patients and systems to benefit from using CliniTouch Vie.

Our Pharmacy was nominated for showing exceptional promise for the future, and as an online pharmacy whose mission is to improve the lives of those living with diabetes, this is a huge achievement for us as it’s recognition of the services we provide.

Congratulations to all the finalists and winners!

Chris Barker is AFN’s Growth CEO of the Year

We’re proud to announce that Chris, our CEO, has been named Advantage Foundry Network’s Growth CEO of the Year, winning the award as the CEO who led their company to achieve outstanding growth.

Chris comments:

“Being selected as AFN’s Growth CEO of the Year largely comes as a surprise, although a very pleasant one! It’s always brilliant to be recognised for our hard work and dedication, but I must hand it to the rest of the Spirit family who I will be sharing this award with. The people around me are the reason that Spirit Health continues to grow and we’re formulating plans as we speak to improve and accelerate our growth even further, so there are exciting times ahead!”

Whilst 2021 presented unique challenges for Spirit, as it has for all, we’re celebrating the fact that over the last year:

  • Our Spirit family has grown by 35% as we welcome new colleagues to come on our journey
  • Our digital division has seen double-digit growth in business, with exciting new partnerships
  • Our new pharmacy start-up has quadrupled its patient numbers
  • We’ve welcomed 3 new GP surgeries into the Spirit family
  • We’ve continued to build fantastic relationships with both NHS and industry in our Medicines Optimisation division
  • Our structured diabetes education programme welcomed its 10,000th patient

We’re excited to be able to continue to accelerate and improve our growth even further over the coming months and years. Read more about the AFN Awards here.

Double finalists in the HTN Now Awards 2022

We were shortlisted for two HTN Now Awards! Our digital health platform, CliniTouch Vie was a finalist in both ‘Excellence in Remote Monitoring’ and ‘Supporting Healthcare Team’s Response to COVID-19′.

CliniTouch Vie is our patient-centric, digital health platform which is designed to connect patients and clinical teams using remote technology. Our aim is to make health easy, by designing and creating an innovative technology platform that enables the digitisation of multiple pathways, including COPD, chronic heart failure, frailty and more. These awards focused on our collaborative work with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust to provide efficient and safe care to patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The awards were on January 20th 2022 and whilst we didn’t win, this was a brilliant recognition by HTN. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners!

Spirit Health has been Shortlisted for the 2022 HSJ Partnership Awards

We are delighted to announce that our project; “Developing digital pathways to support patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond” in partnership with Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) & University Hospitals of Leicester Trust (UHL) has been shortlisted for HealthTech Partnership of the Year at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2022.

This award highlights our successful partnership with LPT and UHL, working collaboratively to help improve patient outcomes and save clinician time through the effective deployment of digital remote monitoring technology. Since launching in April 2020, over 1,000 patients have been supported by four of our digital pathways, resulting in decreased emergency admissions and reduced pressure on hospital services.

Noel O’Kelly, our Clinical Director, comments:

“We’re proud that together with our partners at LPT and UHL, we have been shortlisted in this year’s HSJ Partnership Awards. It’s a huge testament to the collaborative work we have been doing to deploy digital pathways to safely manage patients at home, helping to reduce the extreme burden on all NHS services during such challenging times.”

The official awards ceremony will be held on the 24th of March 2022, so watch this space!
